The 90’s were the classic age of home video game systems, the Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, N64, Playstation 1, and so many more. Here is a breakdown of our top 90’s video games that keep us mesmerized in the 90’s
10. TONY HAWK PRO SKATER
Released in 1999 this game brought skating to the main stream and gave every kid the dreams of one day kicking the half pipe.
9. GOLDENEYE 007
Released in 1997, This game turned every friendship into a on screen fight to the death. This game was master of the one on one battle games.
8. SONIC THE HEDGEHOG 2
Released in 1992 in our opinion was the best of the series. The game play and appearance of the levels beat the rest by a mile.
7. SUPER SMASH BROS
Released in 1999, this weird and unusual adaptation of the player vs player fighting game had a spark of creativity in a saturated market. Take all the favorite Nintendo characters and throw them into a battle arena, how could it go wrong. The levels were strange and the game play weirdly laid out, but for some reason it worked. Thank you Nintendo
6. ROLLERCOASTER TYCOON
Released In 1999, this computer game was the end all of end all experiences. What kid hasn‘t dreamed of owning their own themepark? Rollercoaster tycoon gave us all the chance to become Walt Disney and run our park. Whether you were super clean or super dirty, you had to have the sickest roller coaster in town.
5. ZOMBIES ATE MY NEIGHBORS
Released in 1993, this game was weird to say the least. LucasArts brought us the dueling pair of kids to fight the zombie apocalypse, with weapons ranging from bazookas to laughing clowns.
4. CRASHBANDICOOT TEAM RACING
Released in 1999, this PlayStation game had everything we enjoyed in Mario kart with updated graphics and better tracks. This had to be one of my favorite Playstation games on the market in the 90’s.
3. THE LION KING
Released in 1994, the Lion King game haves us control over Simba in a quest to save his kingdom. This game was wildly fun...sorry I meant frustrating, as I’m pretty sure I never made it past the second level with the stupid freaking running ostrich.
2. SUPER MARIO WORLD
Released in 1990, the game that came with almost every Super Nintendo sold. This was the first game I ever remember playing, and I played it for HOURS. As a kid in 1990 this game was life, and if anyone says it wasn’t they are lying.
1. ALADDIN
Released in 1993, Aladdin took us into the world of magic and excitement. A genie, pet monkey, talking parrot, and a magic carpet, what could be better than all this? Running through level after level beating these generally static attackers, tops off my favorite game of the 90’s.
